Dr. Tobi Yerokun is a board certified preventive medicine specialist as well as a certified wound care specialist having treated pressure injuries for over a decade. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College, then attended Howard University College of Medicine. From there, he began his residency in general surgery at Howard University Hospital followed by a preventive medicine residency at Johns Hopkins University, where he also received his Masters in Public Health. He has serviced in various leadership roles as the medical director of two different wound care and hyperbaric medicine centers. He has served on various quality improvement committees and pressure injury prevention groups and also serves on the exam committee for the American Board of Wound Management. Dr. Yerokun is an experienced leader adept in healthcare quality improvement, specifically in underserved communities. He has extensive experience applying advance wound management and preventive medicine expertise to neglected populations with minimal resources.

Dr. Margarita Ramos is a board certified preventive medicine specialist as well a wound care and burn specialist with a wealth of experience treating patients with complicated pressure injuries. After completing her Bachelor’s degree at Brown University, she attended Washington University School of Medicine for Medical School. From there, she received her Masters in Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health followed by residency training in general surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. That was followed by completing a preventive medicine residency and burn fellowship at Johns Hopkins. She now practices in her native Puerto Rico where she not only treats patients for complex wounds and burns, but also consults for lifestyle improvement and preventive services in a variety of settings. Dr. Ramos has the training and expertise to help any healthcare system improve its delivery of wound preventive services.
Rhonda Sullivan is a Registered Nurse with 30 years’ experience. Twenty-three years have been dedicated to legal nursing and the wound and ostomy specialties. She is Board-Certified as a Nurse Executive, Wound-Ostomy Nurse, Legal Nurse, and Safe Patient Handling Associate. She is the owner of Legal Nurse Partners and the Executive Director of iWOC Nursing Foundation. She is a published author, award-winning researcher, med-legal expert, approved CE provider for the Florida Board of Nursing, and an international speaker on value-based models of care, with a focus on pressure injury prevention and deep tissue pressure injury tissue recovery. Dr. Sullivan’s passion lies in empowering clinicians and other healthcare stakeholders to lead positive change through the pursuit of clinical excellence and financial success by alleviating patient harm and reducing avoidable hospital-acquired conditions, especially pressure injuries.

Zemira Cerny BS, RN is a certified wound specialist and experienced medical manager with 17 years of hospital based experience. She most recently served as the director of a Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine center but has also served in a number of roles focused on quality and process improvement in healthcare settings. She is a certified WOCN and holds memberships with NPIAP, AAWC, and the National Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders. She has a peer-reviewed publication on pressure injury prevention as well. Beyond her roles in wound care, Zemira has an extensive amount of experience in utilization review, billing and coding. Her vast knowledge and experience are incredible assets to any organization hoping to improve their quality of care.
